Frequently Asked Questions
Severna Park Boat Club is a private club. This means that our boats are only available to Members. We do not rent or charter our boats. Our members are the only ones with access to the fleet and they never pay a fee to use the boats.
As long as a member is present, you can bring friends, family, guests, children, colleagues, or even your favorite pet.
Members have Unlimited access to boats. Boat as much as you like.
Like most clubs we charge a one time Initiation Fee and an a monthly membership fee.
Members may have a maximum of four (4) advanced reservations on the books at any given time. Weekdays (2), and Weekends (2). Once a reservation is used, or the date has passed, a new one may be made.
All boats have required Maryland Deparment of Natural Resources equipment including life jackets, a fire extinguisher, sound equipment, and flares. Boats are checked for this equipment by both the dock staff and member prior to departure.
Membership is open to boaters of any skill level, 21 years of age and older. Whether you’ve never boated before, or you’ve boated for years, Severna Park Boat Club welcomes you as a member.
Never. This is a private fleet. We do not rent any of the boats in our fleet. This allows us to better maintain the condition of our boats and ensures the highest possible level of fleet availability to our members.
We maintain a variety of boats ranging from flats boats to bowriders. Our fleet is ever changing, and expanding. Currently some of our boats are:

- Bluewater “Center Console”
- Godfrey “Sweetwater Cruise”
